Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded) Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and added flavor.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Soften it beforehand for easier mixing.
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce Adjust to taste if you prefer more or less heat.
  • 1 cup ranch dressing This adds creaminess and balances the spice of the buffalo sauce.
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded) Reserve some for topping the dip before serving.
  • green onions (thinly sliced) Adds freshness and color to your dish.
  • carrot sticks Perfect for dipping and adds crunch.
  • celery sticks A classic choice that complements the dip's flavors.
  • tortilla chips Ideal for scooping up every last bit of this delicious dip.

Method

  1. In your Crock Pot, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and one cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything together until well mixed and evenly combined.
  2. Place the lid on your Crock Pot and set it to LOW heat for 3-4 hours or HIGH heat for 1-2 hours. Remember to stir the mixture every 30 minutes to ensure even cooking and melting of the cheese.
  3. The dip is ready when you notice that all the cheese has melted completely and there are no visible chunks of cream cheese remaining. You want a smooth and creamy texture that’s perfect for dipping.
  4. Once the dip reaches its desired consistency, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mixture. Replace the lid and let it cook just until this additional cheese melts into gooey perfection.
  5. Serve your Buffalo Chicken Dip warm alongside tortilla chips, carrot sticks, or celery sticks for an irresistible appetizer everyone will enjoy!
